презентация Integrated Approaches to Developing Reading Skills in ESL/EFL Learners
This article explores the efficiency of integrated approaches in developing reading comprehension skills among ESL/EFL learners, with a specific focus on students at non-linguistic higher education institutions. In the modern globalized educational paradigm, reading is no longer viewed as a passive, isolated receptive skill but as an active, interactive cognitive process. This study examines how combining traditional reading strategies (skimming, scanning, intensive, and extensive reading) with digital educational platforms, authentic media texts, and communicative tasks enhances students' overall communicative competence. The paper outlines the pedagogical conditions and practical frameworks necessary to implement integrated reading instruction effectively, promoting learner autonomy and critical thinking in multi-layered language environments.
