This article examines the impact of digital transformation on management practices in contemporary organizations. The study analyzes how the integration of artificial intelligence, big data analytics, cloud computing, and automation reshapes core managerial functions — including decision-making, organizational communication, and human resource management. Drawing on the dynamic capabilities framework (Teece) and findings from McKinsey Global Institute (2023), the authors identify four essential competencies required of the digital-age manager: digital literacy, adaptability and change management, analytical thinking, and digital emotional leadership. The article further outlines the primary opportunities digital transformation creates — such as faster decision-making, cost reduction, and global market access — alongside key risks, including cybersecurity threats, digital inequality, employee resistance, and ethical challenges in AI-driven personnel management. The study concludes that managerial effectiveness in the digital economy depends on balancing technological capability with a human-centered leadership approach.
