This article examines the importance of Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) in
modern English language education. As globalization increases the demand for effective
communication skills, traditional grammar-centered approaches are gradually being
replaced by learner-centered methodologies. Communicative Language Teaching
emphasizes meaningful interaction, authentic language use, and the development of
communicative competence. The paper discusses the key principles, advantages, and
challenges of CLT and highlights its role in improving students’ speaking, listening, reading,
and writing skills. The study concludes that communicative methods provide a more
effective framework for preparing learners to use English confidently in real-life situations.
